Connections Community Support Programs is a non-profit organization that has served the state of Delaware for more than thirty years by providing social and medical services to the populations that are the most difficult to serve, including ex-offenders and people with disabilities. Connections supports more than 7,000 inmates in Delaware’s unified correction system, employs more than 1,700 full-time employees, and often serves more than 42,000 people each year.

Connections requested an $841,000 loan to support an existing facility in Wilmington, Delaware, which operates a commercial kitchen and a satellite clinic. This facility is located in a low-income area of Wilmington with a 33.6% poverty rate, 14.6% unemployment rate, and 51.12% AMI. The commercial kitchen produces more than 600,000 meals annually and provides 45 jobs for reentering offenders and people with disabilities. The satellite clinic offers mental health and substance abuse treatment services with an estimated census of 1,000.

PCG worked with NCALL Loan Fund to provide $420,500 towards the loan, and when combined with capital supplied by NCALL, $841,000 was achieved to continue providing social and medical services in Wilmington, DE.
